While studying on the front porch this evening, I came across this verse in the last few stanzas of 1 Thessalonians, chapter five:
Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. – 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NLT)
I began thinking of this passage after a tough day. When I look around at the world around us and even within my circle and even in the mirror, it seems that when things are most chaotic, the more difficult it is to stay completely holy. I’m not talking about living in outright sin. I’m talking about the little foxes. Staying holy. In all things.
When life is crazy, that is the time to be the most vigilant in your walk with God.

Trust me….I’m not only preaching to you. I’m more preaching to the guy who stares back at me when I’m shaving.
In the chaos, pray for God’s peace, because with that peace comes the ability to be holy and blameless.
